Saucer Fascinator Hats

A Saucer Hat is in between a hat and a fascinator. They are normally a large dish shape, with just a slight indentation for the crown. They can sit flat or tilt up high up at the back, and are worn to the side. A trim can sit on top of the saucer fascinator or the back / underside of the tilted back. If you do it this way, your hat will look great from every direction – it might look simple from one side, but turn around and at the back, there is lots of excitement!
Saucer Hats are very suitable for Royal Ascot, and depending on the type of wedding and the size of the hat, may be suitable for a wedding. We’ve seen many at the Royal Weddings, and Royal Ascot Ladies Day showcases many as they tend to be quite dramatic, even without a lot of adornment.

If you like to wear your hair with volume and you are worried about ‘hat hair’ then a saucer hat from us is a good choice, as we make our saucers on special millinery wire alice bands, which we make in the studio. These are not the usual metal alice bands and do not give headaches, but are made of two prongs, which is how we achieve our saucers to stand up with so much height, and not flatten the hair.
